PRA, Chicago Getting Back to Business with AFP Meeting Destination management company PRA Chicago, in conjunction with the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau (CCTB), are glad to announce that the Association of Financial Professionals (AFP) meeting, which is expected to attract more than 10,000 delegates from October 13 to 16, is proceeding as planned.

"The City of Chicago and our local businesses are taking very seriously the need for increased security and the importance of demonstrating this to travelers who might have concerns," says Robert Beach, the Director of Corporate Sales at the CCTB. "Additional security measures have been instituted at Chicago's convention centers, hotels, downtown buildings and airports in recent days."

"We work closely with the Visitor and Tourism Bureau, so we’re aware of the extra lengths to which the city has gone to assure every visitor’s safety, notes Bryan Lewis, owner and president of PRA Chicago. "We’re making sure that an extra measure of safety is in place as well."

PRA Chicago will be handling events for Key Bank during the AFP conference. Among the activities planned will be a dinner at Dewes Mansion, themed around the concept of a speak-easy. PRA is providing music during dinner as well as a dance band. Cigars and party favors such as boas, fedoras, and sunglasses will add a fun flavor to the evening.

"After evaluating things after the events of September 11, Key decided to move forward with its plans to participate in the AFP Conference and our client event at the Dewes Mansion, " says James Dean, senior vice president and large corporate segment manager of Key Bank's Global Treasury Management Group. "We are looking forward to another successful AFP Conference, and to thanking our clients for their business at our reception. "
