New Dates for Associations:digitalNow Conference

9/11, Oct 16 2001

Print-friendly format E-mail this information

The Associations: DigitalNow conference, which was postponed following the September 11 attacks, has been rescheduled for February 7 to 9, 2002, at the Disney Institute in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

The digitalNow production team (Fusion Productions, Disney Institute, and the American Society of Association Executives) In a message delivered to program registrants, the conference production team apologized for any inconvenience the rescheduling may have caused. The program format remains unchanged, and will be organized around the concepts of value, strategy, and structure. A keynote speaker will provide attendees with overarching principles each day, and workshops/case studies afterwards will drill down to more specific aspects of each concept.

"ASAE is pleased to be collaborating on such a unique and insightful program, and is eager to advance the discussions started at last year’s inaugural digitalNow Conference," says ASAE President and CEO Michael S. Olson, CAE. "Rescheduling the event was the right call in the wake of our national tragedy, but the business of America needs to go on and we believe the digitalNow meeting tackles some issues to help us do just that."

"As we continue to unite as a nation and rebound from the tragic events of September 11, we can be proud of the teamwork and commitment that our industry has shown in the face of great horror, danger and incertitude. ‘Associations Advancing America’ isn’t only a concept – it’s become a vital reality," said Hugh K. Lee, President of Fusion Productions.

Program keynote speakers include Jim Collins, a management consultant and author of Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies, a hit novel that spent five years on the New York Times bestseller list; and Dr. Karen Stephenson, President and Founder of NetForm.
